Found out yesterday that Home Goods finally has an online shopping website.Problem is that you have to spend $120 to get free shipping. Now don't get me wrong, I could easily spend that much but I don't want to (at least right now). I literally want a $15 item but the shipping is another $15. I suppose I could just drive one county over and see if they have it in the store.
Could you phone the out of town store and ask to reserve that item for you? I prepay an order and then do pick-up at the customer service desk.

The store isn't that far from me. Probably less than 30 minutes. I just prefer shopping online as I tend to look around too much in a store and buy more than I planned on.Originally Posted by razz

Ours is not a big box store it’s a store in the mall so it’s not terrifically large.
I would imagine ours will be too. Another reason why I like shopping online. The county I live in doesn't have a lot of shopping options. We only have Walmart really. The next county over is where the stores are (Target/Kohl's/Home Goods/Marshall's/etc). People from my county flock to the next county plus all the people who live there. I still haven't made up my mind yet if I will venture into the store, get it online and pay the shipping cost, or just not get it. I plan on decorating for Valentine's Day this weekend and I'll see what it looks like before I decide. If I think this item that I want would really look good in my home, I'll get it. If I think the house looks good without it, I'll save my money.

Today is a Rave because I have turned the corner on three months of long days and weeks of work. I have been executing 5 different projects (2 is the threshold of my comfort zone). Over the course of 10 weeks, I had to work through Christmas vacation, couldn't leave the house from Monday through Friday, completed almost 150 hour-long interviews, and wrote 5 PT reports each ranging from 20-40 pages and requiring analysis and graphics).
Yesterday I sent the last of the major reports out and did the last interview for two of the projects. I'm down to basically one active project now, and I can feel the relief pouring through my bones. I haven't slept much this week--up at 2:30am to write that last report a couple of days in a row.
Today is my 45th wedding anniversary and DH and I are going to head into Burlington for sushi (weather permitting). If it's too cold to do that, we'll just hunker down and watch movies or something. But I just feel great.
Next step: figure out how to maintain a sane level of work moving forward.
