Happy anniversary, Catherine! Glad you’re done with the worst of the projects.

For the first time in 33 years my much maligned Cincinnati Bengals are going to the Super Bowl. I spent all afternoon on the edge of my seat hoping they could come from behind and beat the Chiefs in the AFC championship game, which they did. Who Dey!

Filed my income taxes last Monday. Checked the IRS website and I should have my refund Tuesday at the earliest.

Inquiring minds would like to know - how does one celebrate the end of a 33 year drought? I remember the emotion of the Blue Jays winning moment as some folks are still celebrating.

Well, when I was younger I would have probably toasted our luck with a few too many adult beverages and generally made a fool of myself. Tonight, as a much older man, I find myself simply giggling a lot.

33 year drought is nothing. 108 years for the Cubs in 2016. Boy, was that a celebration.

One does wonder at the sheer joy in a team winning whatever the sport.

I agree that 108 years is a long time for a team to even exist never wait to celebrate a win.

If you ever get the chance, watch Ken Burns’ Baseball documentary series. I had no idea baseball went that far back for having organized team play.
