Okay--Don't follow me for awhile. I'll tell you zackly why--I'm going to be critiquing some music, for awhile. So, if you're thin-skinned, stay-TF-away. Thank You. Okay--never did follow the late, great MJ, though I do have one of his CD's around here. I've listened to it quite a bit, after i picked it up, used. But, i can't say it has stuck with me, in an way. Same thing with Lady Gaga, and some others. But, they are a temporary thing, with me. But, I still like the music one(or two or three) hit wonders like Scarlet and Black, Tears-For-Fears, and Savage Garden. They were were studio musicians who were assembled by a record producer to make eclectic music that would sound good on the radio. And they did. Let me throw in Billy Idol, as a David Bowie imitation. both are 2 or 3 hit wonders. About 15 years ago, I was telling someone that I went into a store, and one place was playing "Year of the Cat" on the P.A. Then, I went into another store just after, and they were playing: "Time Passages". The patient Listener(like you kids)axed me: so, what was the next store playing on the P.A., and I says: "Song On The Radio". Anyway, I have all three of those on 45 rpm records. Al Stewart was a 3-hit wonder; but prolly that's the way it should be, in a just world. Ha. Hope that helps you some. Don't go away---there's more.

Okay--I know some of you kids have been very, very, very, very bored by my recent posts. You could not care less about the subjects that I've covered. That's Okay, because I could care less about the subjects that you're interested in. Yeah. I tell you what--Let's talk about losing weight, okay? Is it necessary to run 10 miles, everyday before dawn, to lose 10 pounds? Just Curious. That would be a good subject to discuss, here. Thankk Mee.

Okay--Just something I happened to think of---what has become of SLPeople, GeoParker, Ultralite, Bartleby, Yossarian, and even Steve. Does anyone miss Steve? Maybe not. Ha. We gotta have an expert at changing a flat tire. Yup.

My favorite ,most recent songs are the mashup of Elton John and Dua lipa--'Cold Heart' and also Harry styles' "Watermelon Sugar". But by no means will i pay big bucks to see a concert, by them. Hope that helps you some.

I found "Little Bitty" on YouTube and it wasn't bad. It had a little more of a country flavor than is my preference, but I liked it well enough. I do like Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead which you apparently do not, but to each his own.
I often enjoy the lyrics to a song, but other times not so much, and of course I cannot always make them out. I imagine that is sometimes for the best.
I have a small collection of 45's, mostly songs from the seventies, but I haven't touched them in ages since it's so easy to pull up just about anything on YouTube.

Steve made a post in December, announcing he was leaving the forum. UL still posts from time to time. Not sure about the other two, you might look at their user names, as long as they didn't request their memberships be eliminated, they are searchable.

I definitely miss Steve, and I always enjoy it when UL pops in. I miss George Parker too. There are lots of others, Gardnr and Danna and Tammy quickly come to mind.

Yes--Thankyou,thankyou very much, RR. Okay---it may interest everyone here that failed Presidential assassin John Hinckley actually has a few songs out on YouTube! Is that not a-may-zeen? I would classify his style as a good fit to the genre of Americana. Meaning he sucks badly. Ha. Anyway, I saw a brief(very brief0part of his rendition of the Joni Mitchell song that Judy Collins made famous titled; "Both Sides Now'. If he were taking viewer requests,I'd suggest that he cover a song by Heart called: "Crazy On You". Ha. Hope that helps you some. Thankk Mee.

My pick hit in the category of favorite song by a notorious person, is a cover of "Look at Your Game Girl", which is a Charles Manson tune. Just google it, and there it is, sung by a young lass.

So cute doggie updates: a good friend of mine has a mom that has been looking unsuccessfully for a small dog to rescue. She is my age, retired and likes to have just one dog. Her dog died. This woman called as soon as she found out I had a dog and was visiting a hour later. She only has carpet in 2 rooms and is willing to pick up her area rugs while she converts Sara to outside potty only. I only had her 4 days and feel incredibly sad. I am not cut out to foster dogs. I have met this woman many times and she is the perfect home. She loves to take a 45 minute walk daily and so does Sara).
