You have to be willing to do the things others will never do in order to have the things others will never have.

Used up the last of my primer, which stretched a lot further than I expected. Using a couple samples I have and then I will go without.
Redid my toenails myself, foregoing another pedicure.
Wanted to swim in a lake but the ones in the area were closed due to high bacteria counts. Went to the state pool again for free.
I got a few good scores at the thrift stores on Friday with my sister. I got a really cute shirt for me that fits perfectly for only $5.00, and I got 2 pairs of shorts for DH that appear brand new and are a brand he likes for $3.00 each.
Inadvertent frugal - yesterday was so hot I decided to go to the movies. The foyer was hot and I asked about the temperature in the theater and was assured it was much cooler. It wasn't. I got my money back and left. It wasn't any cooler than my house! Saved the $5 matinee price.
Decided to try the plastic wicker chairs in my barn that I had bought to stage a flipper house in South Carolina nine years ago--kept waiting for another porch to use them. Have not had a porch since, and rather than buying two new/old antique motel chairs that I was eying, used these plastic wicker ones from South Carolina. Decided it was better to ruin them being outside than to buy new chairs to use.
The funny thing is they look much better than any of the ones I was going to buy, which ranged from 40 a piece to 90 a piece, and I already owned them, and now they are out of the barn.
Could you put some type of protectant on the wicker chairs?
It has some kind of product on it, I don't think it is real wicker. More like thin plastic spun to look like wicker? I'll take them in the winter.
I have $31 and some change left in my budget for the month and will need to get some more gas. I believe I can make it by getting groceries Monday instead of on the weekend as I normally I do. I have enough food on hand.
I have recovered 2 pairs of decent shorts that were a bit snug in the waist...tied elastic to the buttonhole and it goes around the button, zipper down a wee bit and VOILA! I never wear tucked in shirts, so it works. Also put new elastic in a Lands End navy blue knit skirt at least 25 years old...Feeling very frugal!
