Okay---I did what has posed a prol;lem for me for years, on one side of my backyarsd cottage. See---the guy who built that part many years ago was in a gbig hurry and took many short cuts, so did not close in the eves, beteewbn the roof rafters. As a consequence, you had squirrles and other critters---including blacksnakes---crawing around up there, after I installed a ceiling and some insulation up there, some 20 or 30 years ago. Plus, in addition to nesting, thery were chewing on the warrrin'. Well, I fixed the chewed-on warrin; and finally this week, I closed in the eaves, to prevent access by critters. Also, painted the eaves and caulked and used expanding foam to close up openings. Due to the irregular shapes of the openings that had to be closed up, it was time-consuming and the end result is more about form-over-function Buit, yeah. problem solved.

Okay---here's a photo that was part of several submitted to the old Huttsons: Did they really make cars like that? News feed. What this is, is a badge-engineered Hash Metropolitan. Hash means Hudson + Nash, which is what happened after the 1954 model year. Yup. 2022-10-29 (3).jpg

    such cuteness!

I ran across someone in my genealogical tree whose name was Pamela Ford Packard. There must have been some auto industry money with that woman.

Well, I don't know but I've been told that the Packards not only founded the Packard motor car company, but also Packard Electric, which was(and is) a major supplier of auto electric components. Especially noted for spark plug wires. But guess what? The company was renamed "Delphi", as a division of GM. Prolly GM CEO Mary "yogi" Barra thought packard sounded too old-ish, , or something. But now, I see Bog-Warner claims ownership of Delphi.
Yup. Just got me a new, spare Delphi fuel pump for my Hyundai, the other day, for $20. I know, I know---you kids take your nice car to the dealer, and since you "drive 'em till the weelz fall off", it's no longer under warranty. It costs $567.89, plus parts & labor to fix it, because the "factory trained technitions" have to take the back seat out or the gas tank off, to get at it. Hard work, boys. Yup. But yeah---Last one I had go bad, I just did er' out in the front yard, under the shade trees. Yup. Here's a photo o' a old classic Merc-O-ree. Mag weelz & all--that ain't original. Nope. What is something like that worth, anyhow? My gramma had one just like it. Yup. Not really--that is just typical Iwah banal-anal dialogue. Yup.2022-10-30.jpg

Okay---brief history lesson. Here's a photo of pre-merger Hudson & Nash'es. Then, post-merger Hashes. You could get 'em post-merger with various engines, such as the olsd Hornet 308, the Packard-built 320, and the AMC V8, among others. . Yup. But yeah---they were badge re-engineered by none other than Mitt Romneys' Dad, George. He came up from old Mehico, to Dee-troit, to "save" Nash and then Huttson. He was against them other us-made gas guzzlers. Yup. See quote from net.Hope thatt helps you some. Thankk Mee.2022-10-30 (4).jpg2022-10-30 (5).jpg2022-10-30 (6).jpg2022-10-30 (7).jpg2022-10-30 (7).jpg2022-10-30 (8).jpg

Okay-----my little bitty formerly feral kitten is now my little puppy dogg. She is very cuddly and snuggly and HUNGRY with an appetite that makes me wonder how she even survived outside on her own for over a month, until I caught up with her. I think she was eating leftover food in the dish on the porch. But, she was thin. But yeah----now she EATS more than any o' the big catts! Yup.

Okay----tore the roofing offa another section of my backyard cottage. There was a design defect that caused the roof to deteriorate and leak, causing mold to form on the ceiling, inside. But yeah---I was very concerned about how to alleviate the problem, until I removed the roofing. Then, it was evident. So yeah---I will be fixing that, this week. It looks like I can clean the mildew off the ceiling(wearing a particle mask), and paint it with kilz, then some paint after that. Yup. I'm also installing government-surplus light fixtures, throughout the place. So, that will be a nice touch. Yup.
