Okay----Po-leese were filmed taking down the yellow crime-scene tape at the rental house in Moscow, Id, where Idaho State U. students were murdered. . In case you did not know, Moscow is about 85 miles SE of Spokanistan, Washington, and sits next to the Washington state line. Across the line is Pullman, Wa. which is home of Washington State U. The police haven't detained anyone, as yet, and claim they have no suspects, and have investigated numerous individuals who have ties to the victims. Guess what? It sounds to mee as though it might be the act of an organized stalker/serial killer--a psychopath. They typically have no social connection to their victim. I qualify that by saying it might even be their first in a series, that hasn't happened, yet. But yeah---the image of the rental house has been blurred out on Google maps, but you can see it in the overhead and the rest of the neighborhood, which is woodsy and hilly terrain. So, the perpetrator may've had a lot of cover to conceal themself, though its winter time. Lots of unanswered questions. Amateur armchair detectives are now waiting for the science to match a DNA sample with a likely suspect. I know you kids go to great great lengths to solve nearly every social issue in discussion threads here, but what about this one? Just curious. Whodunit? ETA: I just checked, and there is a HF store in Pullman, and HF sells a K-Bar-style knife, pretty cheap; like under $10. So yeah--the perp may've disposed of it, immediately. Yup.

Okay---Just received word that one o' my F-book friends passed away. I hadn't seen much activity at all, on their part, for awhile. I figured it was because of that person being a Demmacrat, and meee being a non-demmacrat, if you get my drift. See? But no---it was a major health issue. But yeah---that individual I had known since late 1968, when Nixon--Humphrey-Wallace were all running for POTUS. Yup.

Okay---Update: The subjects then were escorted by their guide to see some highly manicured gardens at a park in nairobi or wherever. Yup. Like---ya GOTTA spend 28 hours on a plane to see some flowers and shrubs and grass! Yup. Ha. Fools. They need to get out and mingle with the masses, but that may be a little hazardous, so they do tourist stuff. See? But yeah--Wanna see the world? Join the Peace corps or whatever. Hope that helps you some.

Okay---needed a new gate post for the driveway to my backyard cottage. This will make it more secure and secluded, as well. But yeah---I chiseled out the old post set in concrete, and set a new one. Yup. 2022-12-30 (6).jpg

Okay---Guess what? The Po-leese made an arrest in PA, of a suspect in the Moscow student murders. He's 28, and was arrested at his parents home in a gated neighborhood. What do I find ironic about that? But yeah---the guy is a "perpetual; student" at WSU in Pullman, just across the state line. Why do I call him a perpetual student? Well, he was going for his Doctorate in Criminal justice, after earning his BA in psychology at a juco & transferring to a U to finish up and then gert a Maasters in Criminal Justice. See---those who wish to pursue a career as an LEO get the CJ degree, then work a few years to see if it's a good fit. Then--when they wish to attain advancement---go for the graduate studies. Maybe while working the late shift, somewhere. Also, I've found something else---and I know you kids will be annoyed by this----a good % of psych majors come from a dysfunctional background or are trying to find themselves. See? That's what Ted Bundy did. Yup. But yeah---the suspect looks creepy. My apologies, suspect. But yeah--he got caught because of the science, even though he mighta thought he could outsmart them. But, he cut himself, at the scene and left DNA. See? Betcha something else---the knife prolly came from HF in Pullman. Just betcha. Hope that puts yopur mind at ease. Thankk mee.

TYVM, RR. For fun, I looked online to see what the experts say about setting posts. Well, HGTee-Vee experts say the rule O thumb for hole depth is 1/4 to 1/3 the total length of the post, which would mean 2'-2 '8". Ha. Well, the soil here is very rocky, and well before you reach 2', you're digging out larger and larger rocks. So, yeah--even with the electric hammer and rock bar, it's all work. So, I stop at just under 2', and put in an extra bag o' concrete mix. I've seen "pros" do less, around here, to git-er-done. Yup. I've got some more of these to do, for my cat-a-torium outdoor run.

Okay----Guess what? The Velocal company is closing by the years end. Possibly the owner/operator is retiring; I do not know. I may be the only one in SFD, Mo., crime capital, who has ever purchased Velo Cals. I have a set for my 1986 Schwinn Passage(the Packard Bike, as I call it), and a set for a Trek 1000. See---cyclists in this town are consumeristic. The Involuntary, low-income cyclists(who can't drive for various reasons)just want the cheapest, easiest-to-ride bike they can find(beg, barter, or steal), for city streets. The upscale Recreational Cyclists want the newest, most up-to-date and "In" bike they can afford to ride. There is a newcomer from you kidses favorite country here, who has Yuppie-priced bikes! (8K!) Yup. Possibly an MD, or whatever. See? But littlebittymee(a different breed of cat, right?)---I get stuck on a particular classic(Bike Boom Era) model, upgrade it with true improvements, and that's what I ride! Yup. See? So see--Velocals are zact reproductions of the original decals found on classic "Bike Boom" bicycles; i.e. Treks, Specialized, etc. But yeah--Rec Cyclists in Sfd are too busy being Sosh(socializing) or else riding 50 miles a day, 365 days a year, to do stuff such as restore their bike. They "trade"(get screwed) as often as they can, for the latest model. OTOH, the Invo Cyclists typically have bikes with broken cables, rusty chains, and weird alterations. They may even smoke a cigarette, while biking. See? The core occupation of the Rec enthusiast community is in office occupations or health care, and they typically are not mechanically inclined. See? But yeah---before you kids say lbb, "there's an economic opportunity for ya", forget it. I don't wish to deal with people, much, except to purchase choice old GOOD spare parts from the (decluttering) rec cyclists that I can use. Last fall, I bought a set of new-in-box pedals(actually, I think they had been installed and used very briefly)from an office lady at the college for $30. That is less than 1/2 the new price, and just what I was looking for to use on my Felt rebuild project. I may ebay the pedals I took off the Felt, at some point. But, back to the subject of Velocals---hopefully the proprietor will find someone to take over where he left off. Sure do.

Okay---Something else I just learned about the circumstances of the Moscow, Id. campus murder case: The police in Pa. where the suspect was arrested, had been keeping the home under surveillance for several days. A press leak says it was DNA evidence that linked the suspect to the case. He also has a white Elantra, the same model & color that was captured on surveillance video near the crime scene. But yeah--I figure what happened was, when the perp attacked the male victim, he fought back, and the attacker was injured and shed some of his DNA. One thing that has been said is that the crime scene as a mes, which indicates to me a fight or struggle. Plus, "some of the victims had defensive wounds", enquote. But yeah--the Male victim, Ethan, was athletic & fit. I'd guess he awoke & fought with the attacker. He was one of Triplets, and his surviving Brother & Sister also attend the same school. That adds even more to the pathos, to me. What else can be said? Is mass-murder like this an alternate method to the open-air shooting sprees we've seen? Just incredible. Is it just small-scale example of an innate need for warfare, for all of human history? You had many adventurous young boys volunteering for 'nam & WW2! I figure, somehow, that the USA hasn't fought a justifiable war, for a very, very long time. Maybe never. I theorize it was just a need to engage in bloody inter-tribal conflict, and political/ economic reasons were the excuse. See? Should we resume the draft, to take would-be warriors/natural born killers off the street, so they can work through their aggressive impulses "fighting for your Freedom", per Shrub? Hope that helps you some.
