I only did 4 dives over the entire trip compared with 13 last year, but I had ear issues. I could have dived Friday, but decided not to. I used that day to pack up everything. There was the incident with the jerk that I posted about in the peeve/rant thread. But it was a nice trip otherwise. Pretty relaxed. Not sure if I’ll go next year. I miss celebrating Christmas with the folks up here. Maybe I’ll do it every other year. Got some awesome photos for next year’s Christmas card!

’m doing a maritime archaeology/underwater archaeology class through my local uw archaeology group (Great Lakes wrecks). It’s through a partnership with the Nautical Archaeology Society in the UK. I’m halfway through the eLearning and underwater portion is sometime in May. I’ve wanted to do this for a LONG time, but schedules never matched up. Diving portion will be at a local quarry.

The underwater archaeology class was a dud. Visibility was very bad and I realized anyway that drawing uw is not something I do well, and it was incredibly boring. Put me behind a camera and I’m fine. But the drawing? Nope.

Off to the Straits of Mackinac for wreck diving next weekend.

Had a good trip. Heading home shortly. More photos once I’m home. This is before my first dive of the trip, first rebreather boat dive and first wreck dive in three years. Christmas card worthy!
