    Having a spare-parts car.

See--a seller on f-book had a disassembled 58 President that I then bought. I gather that he bought it at an auction. But yeah---many of the components also fit 58 Packard. Do you kids see where I am going with this? What about acquiring a parts car for your subbaroo or other consumer mobile? It could save you a Lotta dough. Yup.

Ha. The Tacomas that I've owned the last 20 years or so have not needed spare parts. I did at one time own a 1957 President. Those were fine cars for the time.

I used to always have a parts car, or two, for my Datsun 510 and my MG MGBs.

Most of my current fleet just doesn't seem to ever break.
