Another fan of The Princess Bride here. One of those movies I will definitely leave on if I stumble across it. A friend even gave me the t-shirt: https://www.ripplejunction.com/princ...2=2543&170=107

That's a cute/funny shirt, Happy. The joke would have gone right over my head before now!

We saw Oppenheimer the other night and I thought it was brilliant, and that Cillian Murphy and Christopher Nolan definitely deserved the Golden Globe.

My team from Succession wiped the floor of Golden Globes with awards. It was Kieran Culkin’s year in the production. MacFayden was also brilliant and deserving. Jeremy Strong already won an Emmy.

Was Better Call Saul even nominated for anything? I found that show tiresome after a couple of seasons.

The Golden Globes, and Kieran Culkin's award, made me interested in checking out Succession. He has managed to creep out from under his brother's early spotlight and carve out a very good acting career for himself.

Succession is brilliant television. The subtleties of the writing, and the quality of the acting is superb

Catherine! I’m partway through a film you would absolutely love! Although, perhaps you’ve seen it since it’s a 2019 film.

It’s called “yesterday” and is about a time warp where all of a sudden The Beatles, John/ Paul/Ringo/George, have never existed. Only a young struggling musician knows about the Beatles. He has the entire Beatles canon available to him to present to the world as his own songs.

It’s cute and charming without being sappy. if you have not seen this film you MUST watch it. The scene near the beginning where he’s presenting. “let it be “to his family is hilarious.

edited to add: I finished the film. The scenes with the guy in the house by the sea—poignant!

I've seen bits and pieces of this, but never the entire movie. I would like to see the entire movie at some point in time, so thanks for the reminder to keep and eye out.

And it actually had a lawsuit over it as it was advertised with one scene that they then cut from the movie after using it in ads. Would have been a different movie.

Not getting to watch movies here, watching the business bank account, unlike the other two co-owners. One wants nothing to do with the finances (and doesn't seem to understand fiduciary responsibilities for them) and the other has been very incompetent while I have been off (trying to pull out money without putting deposits in, thinking magic credit?). Never checks the account, etc. We have had quite a few words.

You know, I've seen references to it, but never seen it!! Thanks for the endorsement. I'm sure I will love it! I'll let you know what I think.
