That was the biggest steak I've ever prepared, weighing in at about 3 lbs. I was shooting for medium rare and was afraid I'd screw it up on the stovetop so I seared both sides on the stove then transferred it to the oven until the center reached approximately 130*. Not exactly rare but deliciously pink!

Ummm. Sounds great!!
Made portabella mushroom burgers last night. Turned out okay, but should have had a bit harder roll for them. Rolls we had were very soft and ended up somewhat soggy by the end of the burger. Still good, though. Not sure about tonight. Have some chicken legs to cook up.

Made Hearty Salmon Chowder. Hubby loved it! He commented it is much better than restaurant chowder! We have enough for two more meals heading into the freezer.
I wish I were close! Could use grapes and tomatoes. Both freeze well. I used to snack on frozen grapes when I was dieting. I roasted tomatoes and then froze them. Or froze them whole and raw to toss into chili. Now I also can my own tomato sauce.

oh yes! Thank you. I forgot about frozen grapes as a snack! I think these will freeze as well a the green grapes we purchase from the store.
These are more like Concord grapes.
And ex-coworker and still good friend turned me on to frozen grapes. I never would have thought to freeze them, but they are wonderful!

We tried an Instant Pot mac and cheese recipe, with a tossed salad, for supper. Hubby was not impressed with the IP mac and cheese. He suggested I toss the recipe and stick to baked mac and cheese. Not doing that in these temperatures! It’s hot out these days. Guess baked mac and cheese is relegated to fall and winter eating. He did, however, like the salad. Which is saying something, because he’s not a fan of salad normally. But I put a few dried nasturtium flowers on the saladsto give a bit of punch. They taste a bit like a mild pepper. Not bad.
