okay----here's an ad by an IWAH grocery chain. But yeah---the dietary focus in IWAH is large portions of MEAT. Yup. Notice the comment: a-may-zeen! When IWAH people like yummy & delish food--or anything---it's "A-may-zeen" and "ahhh-summm". And they say "Yup" a lot, too. Yup. So anyway, see photo. Yup.

Speaking of large portions of meat, last week I spent 13 hours smoking a 15lb beef brisket which turned out wonderfully considering it's the first time I've ever smoked one. Needless to say we've been having brisket this and brisket that for the past 4 days. I truly do love brisket as it actually is ahhh-summm and a-may-zeen but I'm honestly getting a little tired of it.

But it does sound good, Alan!

Out and about at the "event of the day" in our area, so just picked up some take-out - chicken and broccoli, egg rolls, and sweet and sour chicken. Hit the spot!

Too late, our youngest grandson is stopping by tomorrow for brisket chili and he's already volunteered to take the remaining couple of pounds home with him.

Raspberry sorbet by a lake, but now I can't get "Raspberry Beret" out of my head.

We had tagliatelle with broccoli and CLAMS which I harvested myself yesterday. I also managed to harvest and shuck 8 or 9 oysters we'll have tomorrow. I have deeper respect for those shucking contest people.
My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!

Father's Day leftovers: vegetarian chili, brats, and macaroni salad.

Kay, I really wish I could harvest my own clams! We had mussels in a garlic wine sauce for dinner last week--I LOVE shellfish.
