What are you watching in 2025??

I dipped into the Geisha film a couple of days ago for a few minutes.

I loved the book years ago and I thought the film was OK when I watched it years ago. This time around it seemed a little—-I don’t know, histrionic. I do love Gong Li though, she is stunning! But she is Chinese not Japanese. there was some flack about casting a Chinese actress in that film back in the day.

there’s a painting that I cannot get out of my mind, by a French painter I have purchased from in the past. It’s a Japanese woman in a in a kimono. I may have to buy that damn painting, it keeps haunting me.

okay----i sit-n-watch mainly autobody repair and painting videos. Although basic procedures are pretty much the same as ever, there are new products on the market that enable the craftsman to accomplish the job. Yup.

I rewatched The Razors Edge after the Maugham novel and staring Bill Murray in a serious role. Late '80's. If I understand the message, the razors edge is the balance between materialism and spirituality.

Bleed Out, about a man's attempts to help his mother after she suffers medical malpractice. Really, really affecting, disturbing, and makes you think about your interactions with doctors and hospitals.

Has anyone seen "Train Dreams?" I just read about it recently, looked for it in local theaters nd discovered it already went to Netflix which I do not have. So annoyed and frustrated that movies stay so shortly in the theaters. How do you find out about them before they're gone?
