    Weight loss drugs

    Fire questions at me!

I started a weight loss drug a couple of weeks ago. It is a damn miracle! I mean, yowza! It was immediately effective. Food noise—gone. Satiation with small amounts of food—super effective.

Prior to this, i lost 18 lbs and got stuck.I need to drop another 15 or so. This drug makes it possible.

    Side effects?
My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!

My wife is on her 5th weekly dose and is showing steady, predictable results. She's wondering if you will continue with micro-dosing once you've reached your goal.

I see lots of articles in the NYT that there is promising research about the GLP1 drugs being helpful for other conditions besides weight loss.

What does the drug deplete from your body. B12, magnesium, calcium? ….worth checking and correcting, if necessary,

Side effects: none I feel. I am on a low dose, the typical starting dose.

negative side effects are: reduction of muscle mass.. I’m supposed to be doing weightlifting exercises, but I haven’t done much of that.

About B-12: the drug I’m on is a compounded tirzepatide with a B-12 supplement. Tirzepatide is the active ingrediant in Zepbound and Mounjaro. It Operates on two hormones while the semiglutides (Ozempic) just operate on one.

positive results: those mentioned plus it is supposed to reduce inflammation. I don’t have inflammation that is more than the normal amount for someone of my age, so I haven’t noticed any positive effects of that, but Internet chatter has several people noticing their aches and pains are greatly reduced or gone.

boy I think so. I’m already a little worried about growing out of the drug’s effect after long term use.

Cost: I’m paying for it all out of pocket. my doctor charges $65 per shot and the shots are once a week. I’m experimenting during the holiday season with prolonging the period between shots because her office is closed for 10 days. I go to her office to have the shots because it is so easy, she’s very close and I already pay a flat fee per year for her services so the office visit costs $0.

I do not know what drug you are taking but you would be wise to see what it depletes from your body. BTW inflammation is not normal at any age.

A few years ago my DH had complete kidney failure and he decided to take all the drugs they were pushing on him. So, I researched what each drug depleted from his body and what (organic) foods would replenish. He was told that he is the only person that had a full recovery from a situation such as his. Coincidence, I don’t think so. Food is medicine. Also, most drugs deplete something…..
