It's cold so wanted something hearty -- made a ground turkey meatloaf with roasted potatoes and carrots. Came out good...

White bean soup with ground turkey, red and green peppers. The colored peppers added brightness to the bland beans and turkey.

Ate out with our Monday dining group -- had grilled Mahi tacos--really good. Then I was naughty and had onion rings as my side. Cold night so that was my excuse for something fried and hearty. Feeling no guilt!

Scottish mince. Great comfort food with mashed potatoes and peas. Traditional are mushy peas but I don't like mushy peas--my Scottish roots go three generations back, so unlike DH, I prefer the baby peas. But I do love HP sauce

Last night was sauteed cabbage with diced ham and noodles in a garlic butter sauce. Yum.

Mushy peas are more of a Northern English addition, Catherine, most commonly eaten with fish n chips! I have never eaten mushy peas in any home making Mince n Tatties.
