Oh, fun! But not entirely correct. Horses too can pace, and are sometimes bred for that quality. I'll have to watch our cats more closely, as I've not really paid attention to their actual gait. It makes sense though, as their walking tracks are generally back foot into the same spot as the front foot. When they trot, which would be a diagonal gait, the tracks are more - uneven looking. I've never noticed that. I'm always looking for tracks - in the snow, especially. In the yard this winter, we've had dogs and cats, of course, chickens, lots of birds, raccoons, squirrels (grey and red, and smaller ground squirrels), deer, rabbit, possum, rats, and maybe fox. Hard to tell as they often sort of brush their own tracks as they move. I'm hoping the foxes will eat the rats, lol. Not happy to find indications of rats....although they are cute and smart little fellows.

okay----here's something you kids should oughtta know---when you go ta Aldis, be sure and use one o' their empty boxes to tote your stuff in. But yeah-----after you get it home, it will keep your catts entertained and busy, investigating the new box! They seemta especially like Aldi boxes, with the nifty cutout in the side. Yup. Hope that helpps you some. Thankk mee.
