    Redoing the bathroom

Just a rant...I am trying to stay positive but having to totally restore a bathroom after a water leak is depressing. The thought of having to spend life energy to find a contractor, pick out tile and fixtures, blah, blah is not something I want to do at this stage of life. I want to do fun things like travel but that pot of money will go to this instead. Insurance guy and their remediation company is completely ignoring us so nothing is getting done.

Oh, that is so frustrating!! I hate spending money for stuff like that.

It’s hard to find good workmen, so I wish you luck in that.

So sorry you have to deal with all this. Hope you find a "good" someone to work on it and that it is done quickly!

Make sure to put grab bars in the shower if you don't already have them.

Sorry to hear your travel money is going towards the bathroom.

I put grab bars in the bathroom I use. Problem is I didn’t really know where they should go, so I placed them randomly.
There are two of the bars, and neither one are especially useful when taking a shower. I suppose they are useful if one was taking a bath, but I never do that.

I have white wall tire and I use white grab bars so they don’t stand out so much as “old person’s bathroom.”

okay----i combine business with pleasure(figuratively speaking), when doing DYI bathroom remodeling. While re-doing the bathroom, i make many fun trips ta lowes and other places, like home depot and sutherlands, while sourcing the materials. See? So no, it's not money wasted.

A white wall tire in the bathroom is certainly a unique design element, although it sounds like something that would be more Bobby's design aesthetic than yours.

ha I didn’t catch that typo but it’s funny so I’ll leave it.

okay----'nother thing you kids needta do is make sure you've got storage space for a LARGE supply of "bathroom tissue", in case there is a shortage due ta embargoes or another whatever-it-was. Pandemmic? (see photo). Hope that helps you some.
