Once a year, my whole area gets infested with ants. There is even an on-going thread on our community forum about them. Right now is the time and I can't tell you how many a day I kill. They tend to gather on our kitchen counter and around the pet food bowls. Little teeny tiny ants that annoy the heck out of me. I use STEM ant killer because it's safe around pets. Kills them instantly but I have to admit, 99% of the time, I just smoosh them with my finger. If there's a bunch at one time, I break out the STEM.

Klunick, This is the first year we haven't had an infestation. I have raid traps and think they are the reason..of course tomorrow I may have a different story!

It's starting to resolve itself so hopefully within the next week or two, they will all be gone. Not nearly as rampant as they were.

Had a busy weekend, our county did the spring ecycling event at the local high school. You load your trunk with electronics, hazardous cleaners, and other stuff, drive up and pop the trunk and the county people do the rest. They have drop offs by appointment, but this is easier for me and them. There's limits, husband is already thinking about the fall event and what needs to go. Dropped off cleaners, paint that hasn't been touched in 20 years, light bulbs, and small electronics.

The building is doing work on the basement and I have until the end of April to empty it. Started by selling a few things like the cornhole set, husband's golf shoes, and a fondue set. Gave away an old cooler with damaged wheels, a lock, plastic bins, and streamers in assorted colors. Decided what doesn't sell in a week gets given away, what isn't given away will go into the Goodwill box which will go to Goodwill when it's full or the last Saturday in April whichever comes first.
