    FB Marketplace no shows

I am trying to get rid of things (lots of plants too) in preparation for moving. Right now - free plants through a gardening FB group. It is extremely frustrating though to have people say they want something and then never show up. I suppose its the anonymity of the platform and presence of scammers but it is basically useless at this point for trying to declutter.

That has been my experience as well, which is why I like to drop things off at the thrift store. But I realize you can’t drop your plants off at the thrift store. Do you have a community garden nearby? People used to drop their unwanted house plants Off at our community garden. I’m not entirely sure how welcome that was, but I did take one or two over the years. Eventually, someone had to deal with the ones that were not removed,

Yes we have a group that takes donated plants they resell but not until late May. I actually dug up the shrub thinking this person would come get it and no show so now I either put it back or keep trying.

okay----if you kids have some really cool chevy parts and steel drop-off for a pretty cheap price, you can count on littlebittymee to show up. If you are making the would-be buyer think its just a bunch of crxp you are getting rid of, then i dont blame them for ghosting you. Nope. To change the subject, i was at the grocery store, and there was a toothless hillbilly wummun who thought she was a goddess, getting a big buckkit o' chickkin' at the deli counter.

Moving back to Texas is at the end of our list of options. I think I am just a Colorado girl at heart. Mostly just want a simpler house, smaller town, NO STAIRS.

I have never sold anything on FB Marketplace, but I've had very good luck giving things away on our town's local FB giveaway page.

It can be frustrating. So far, the worst I have experienced on Marketplace was trying to go pick something up and timing was off... I guess! We just never hooked up and I drove around the block several times. LOL.

Hopefully the rest of your takers will show!

Can you just put your plants and other items at the curb with a sign that says, "Adopt a Free Plant!"??

I've had pretty good luck with Freecycle. I learned about them years ago on this very site.
