Nice deal on the watches. My DH has a couple that might have some value.

Having already completed my annual review and culling of files for both our household and my mother's, now I get to review and cull a LIFETIME of files from my mother's house. And the files that must be retained will have to come live with me. Sigh.

Got rid of a hooded sweatshirt that I noticed I had been actively avoiding wearing the last several months.

that's an interesting project. I imagine it might be very daunting, depending on how your mom kept her files. My dad stuffed everything, while my mom was very orderly. But then she got dementia so he took over and piled stuff on top of her order. Many of his files, I was never able to get to due to what my brother did with their house. I got through as much as I could on a very limited time there, and one of the things I found resulted in a payment of an insurance policy for over a hundred and fifty thousand dollars. I also salvaged things that enabled us to sell a commercial property, but your milieage may vary. I just feel that people who tell you to dump everything may be mistaken, although it is so tempting.

I am still mad I got rid of a 1930's Quebec fishing license, just because it was so darn cool.

I mistakenly dumped ALL my google e mails as they had categorized them, confusing me, so just deleted stuff and of course forever. Fortunately all the emails I get will come again...but lesson learned, not forever. Today's task is to gather and type into the spread sheet all the bits and pieces of sign ins...passwords, then organize them. Right now many are on snibbles of paper. Wish me luck.

DH and I completely emptied out the shed yesterday, swept it, culled several bags of crap, and put it back together in a much more organized fashion. We were quite pleased with ourselves!

I've also gone through some of Mom's files, trying to do a little bit every day.

I'm working on my mom's and today and burning her medical records. It feels good.
