We went to a fundraiser Bingo night for Ferals In Peril, our local cat rescue group that does a fabulous job with just a handful of people running it.

it was at the VFW hall. So that’s what one does in a tiny town on Saturday night – play bingo at the VFW hall.

I won the second game and $75 which I donated back to the group because I didn’t walk in the door to win money. It was a nice little evening event.

I wish every town our size had a cat rescue group like this group. They are phenomenal. They have regular meetings, they have an informative Facebook page, they now have a “cat café “that a local businessman has donated to them. About a dozen cats live there until they are adopted. You go in and sit amongst the cats and can have coffee. And because it’s a tiny town, I know one of the key people through a plant society also. And then the main person in charge of the cat rescue just happened to show up in my house one week when DH brought people he met in the park here to see the renovation of our house. Like I said it’s a very small town and what I like about it is that the people who are involved in Civic improvement are involved in everything!
