Rosa, do you get blackflies there in Mass? They are the absolute worst thing about Maine in my opinion. I am allergic to them and get these giant hard welts and scarring. I don't even want to go outside when they are here, which kind of ruins May.

I guess we are all going to die in the stormy weather over the next 48 hours so bye-bye y’all, save yourselves!

We did have tremendous destruction in my immediate area last year, but I also tire of the hysterics of the weather media.

Catherine: I do not know the type of tick.

Tybee: We do not have black flies, thankfully, at least not in my part of MA.

IL: I just read the weather online, so it never has that element of hysteria that watching the weather provides. Best of luck to you!

Medicare. Not sure I need to say anything else.

We had a serious ER visit in January. Resulted in heart stents later. Issue: Medicare denied the whole hospital bill but our statement says we are required to pay Zero. Yes, Zero. How confusing is that? We have until June to dispute but what is there to dispute? So do I contact the hospital to see what is going on, wait and hope that 3 years from now we get some kind of bill, or ignore the whole thing? Note: All the doctors were paid just fine. I think the whole issue is that we did not spend 2-24 hour periods in the hospital but then Part B of Medicare should pay most of the emergency room costs. But it also could be an error on the hospital's part.

Sigh. This should be so simple. No issue the visit was necessary and appropriate. Diagnosis made, medication provided, further actions determined. Everyone says when an older man has heart racing and chest pain, the ER is the only place to go and even an ambulance would have been appropriate.
