okay----i been saving and saving and saving my pennies, dimes and nickles, so's i can purchase a brand-new fuel tank for my 58 Packard. So anyway----the tank i need only fits the 1200 plus 675(4dr & 2 dr.) 58 Packards they made. Yup. And there is only ONE place that sells 'em. Well---actually two; but the 2nd place buys them from the first guy, to resell, and charges considerably more, on top of an already VERY(xxxx44444) high price. So anyway----i called to place my order, and noticed that they'd increased the price by 10% just this month! Sonny Gun! I begged the guy---actually he's a cocky arrogant whippersnapper---to sell me a tank for last months' price, and he lectured me, and flatly refused. He must be a fanaticrat, so sure of himself that he is. Prolly has purple hair. But anyway-----the new tank was sitting on my porch this morning. It is very hard to drive your Packard if the 68-year old gas tank is rusted out. They get that way, rusting from the inside out. Yup. So yeah----now i've got a new one.

okay----i guess this is gonna be THE first post o' the day on here! Ha. How do you like THAT? So anyway---I been busy getting ahold o' new glass for my vehicles that were dealt a setback, due to a hail storm on Tuesday. Plus---the baseball-sized hail stones all but destroyed several hoods. So that is bad. Anyway, back to work on this project. Yup.

We only have cute little baby hail here, and that happens only infrequently. We actually get excited about it in a happy way! It's hard for me to imagine the big bad hail that you folks get.

Well, Big Hail(my term) is uncommon, but not unheard of. See---we are on the eastern edge o' tornado alley, which is an area that is prone to violent thunderstorms and stuff. Plus, yesterday, another mini-crisis. A-whole, my evil neighbor and arch-enemy in the mansion two doors away, let his guard doggs escape, and one was chasing Moommy, my oldest catt, who ran under my car. Well, this called for action and just shooing the large aggressive mutt away didn't work, so i picked up a chunk of concrete and threw it at the dogg, which didn't faze it much, but it did cease and desist being obnoxious for a minute. i fell over, due to having just drank a home-made double latte, which affects my balance a bit. But, i started laughing so hard and when Mooommy emerged from her hiding spot, i grabbed her and went in my hillbilly shack to take refuge. Yup. Wouldnt you know it, the next time i opened the door, Mooommmy ran back outside! Well, i waited awhile for an opportune moment to re-capture her. Catts are hard to figure, you know. So, i'm gonna put a gate on my front step, so they can't just make a break for it, whenever i open the front door. Problem solved. Yup.

okay---TYVM, RR. Yah---my catts especially, are my very best friends. Trouble is, they rely on mee for food, water, and a territory to call their own, but have the notion that they can look out for themselves. Life is short enough for catts as it is, so their instinct of taking anything or anyone for granted is a bad one. See? Okauy---something else----crammed two broken windshields in the trash; one was brand-new a couple months ago for my El Camino project. And the hood that i drove alllllll the way to St Peters, mo for last fall is all but ruined with hail dents. But, i have another one out back i can use that has few dings. I risked my live getting the one back from St Peters. Son-of-a-gun. I had my VERY rare 2004 GTO sitting outside, to reorganize the shop, when the storm came through. Wouldn't you know it? It had been previously "totalled" in a spring storm in Misssisssippi, years ago. This time---it broke the back glass, and cracked the windshield. I was VERY concerned, because see---only a few more than 40,000(cumulative total) 2004, 2005, 2006 GTO's, which were AU Holden-based cars, were built and exported to the USA. Since then, The Kids, young punks who couldn't care less about anything, have destroyed at least half or more of them. So yeah---i was able to buy a used REAR glass from a wreckin' yard that had 4 of them, on hand. But I was skeered that availability of a new windshield might be sketchy, and yup, the glass shop guy said i bought the only one available from suppliers in a 4-state region, from which he sources them. So, i got it home and put it away until i get caught up on "stuff". Plus, i had glass shop guy install the windshield in my main ride, due to necessity. They were busy, busy, busy, this week. Now---to do some YARD WORK!! which is not a source of enjoyment and recreation, for me. It's about more fun cleaning the litter boxes, in fact. Hope that helps you kids some. Thankk mee.
