Yes, all the fear mongering political talk about a candidate being a dictatorial threat to democracy may have been a prelude to this event.

Most of the deep-state folks I know have better fundamental marksmanship skills. I'd look elsewhere.

Biden’s campaign message released this week says “ I have one job and that’s to beat Donald Trump. I’m absolutely certain I’m the best person to be able to do that. So, we’re done talking about the debate, it’s time to put Trump in a bull’s-eye “

the dictionary definition of “bull’s-eye “is the center of a target.

Hey Alan, remember the days when Loosey Chickens and that crowd here were all in a tizzy and outraged because a GOP operative, maybe it was Sarah Palin? had campaign literature putting an opponent in a target?

    Kinda funny.

i’m glad DJ Trump is OK after the shooting.

Oh Yes, I remember that well, it was in relation to the Gabby Giffords shooting. But I think Loosey and any of her remaining crowd would say this instance is (D)ifferent.

I wish this had not happened. I am no friend of DJT but this is not what I wanted, either. I worry now regarding outbursts of political violence anywhere in the US. Rob

This Trump attempted assassination is just what the Biden camp needs to take away the 24 hour news focus from President Biden and his infirmities.

Oh please I am NOT saying Biden camp had anything to do with the Trump shooting, do not ascribe that opinion to me!

I’m just commenting on how this is playing in the news stories we are being fed.

I think this may be the turning point Joe Biden needed to stop momentum from
the “dump Biden “train. It seemed to me there was slow building of a coalition of important Democratic operatives to remove him from the ticket. Now that’s been interrupted. Once the steam goes out of a movement, it’s hard to get it back up given the short time frame we have before the November elections.

And because it’s what the Biden camp needs it’s also what the Trump camp needs because Biden is his weakest opponent.

i’m back to thinking it will be Biden versus Trump in November.

Find it interesting that no one here comments on trump meeting Orban earlier this week. Orban met with Putin the week before.

I can only speculate here but perhaps there is another factor rather than media pundits spouting the rise of political violence - a lonely, disaffected young man swayed by social media and seeking a sense of belonging. Same scenario with many school shootings.

Isn't hobnobbing with dictatorial strongmen on-brand for Trump? Why is that newsworthy?
