And part of the issue in communication between us is just that. I use an Android phone and a PC. No Apple products. Plus, I would prefer to keep my technology life as simple as possible (maybe due to age).

Keeping technology life simple is an excellent goal, agreed. I am attracted to MapQuest displaying on my car’s dash screen because I’ve seen it work with DH’s phone. It really is a nice feature! But it is not meant to be for me, at the moment, anyway, until we have time to solve the problem.

and thank you for the explanations, Alan. I figured it was some sort of Apple World versus android world, but it’s all very irritating that they don’t work seamlessly together for me, because it is all about ME.
