My gardens today

[iris lilies]

I thought iris did well in moist/soggy soil. I was somewhat considering planting iris versicolor down by the lake. Does it depend on the variety of iris?

I stopped by the Missouri botanical gardens today and saw this sad little clump of Iris versicolor. It is quite diminutive so perhaps it is desperately unhappy because it’s not getting enough water. Or perhaps it is a small sub species, I don’t really know.
