I stopped by the Missouri botanical gardens today and saw this sad little clump of Iris versicolor. It is quite diminutive so perhaps it is desperately unhappy because it’s not getting enough water. Or perhaps it is a small sub species, I don’t really know.

Aww, poor iris! Here is a good example of it literally in a koi pond.

IMG_8230.jpgOnion harvest today. I tell DH “just because you CAN grow truck farm levels doesn’t mean you HAVE to.”

some of these will have to go to the food bank. We had so many peaches a few weeks ago some went to the food bank.

Maybe this post belongs in the Agerculter thread.

can you all see the image?

Can't see the image, il. Yay on so many onions (I guess that is what the pic is of). Don't care for them, but still. Yay!

My plots are producing. Not a lot, but more than last year!

I LOVE onions and use lots in cooking, but even this load is too much. We usually have enough onions in a harvest to last through the following March or April. Last year it was May before I had to buy them at the store.m

Not me! I love onions and cook a lot with them too. Still have some left from the onion fest here in March(?)!
