I won the underwater pumpkin carving/costume contest yesterday! My costume was a ballerina - purple and pink tulle tutu to match the purple trim on my drysuit. My prize was a rather expensive piece of diving gear.
Carving a pumpkin underwater is more difficult than it appears. I was nearly upside down at one point. It was a ton of fun! The gal I dove with last weekend in Ohio drove in for the weekend and was my diving buddy. We had a ball.

Sometimes things just click. I still have a few anxiety issues with getting comfortable, especially on first descending, particularly with low visibility conditions, but it will get better with more time in the water. Yesterday, I had issues descending on the second dive, but I just talked myself through it (out loud to my dive buddy) and went down. She understands since she had a LOT of water related fears when she started diving last summer. But she spends a lot of time in the water and is quite good.Originally Posted by iris lilies
