I ordered and received quickly my who gives a crap toilet paper. It’s awesome as Catherine said and I got 48 rolls. I love that 50% of the profits go to provide toilets around the world to people without them.
I ordered that TP too. I wasn't even short of TP as I still have some of the TP too big to fit on standard rolls I ordered in desperation in spring. But no can't chance it, must stock up on and hoard TP, it might run out

Ordered face shields to use, as well as, a mask when doing my every 3 week grocery shopping. Saw on the news today .... saying those who are phyically compromised or over 65 should do online or curbside pickup instead of going into stores based on the uptick of COVID. Now personally know 5 people in my neighborhood who have or have had COVID. Hopefully, I will only need to go for fresh fruits and veggies (perimeter of the store) until next year????

Ran out to get a turkey for Christmas. I didn't spend enough to get the free one from the grocery store for Thanksgiving and they were not even doing that promotion for Christmas, so I expected to pay more this time around. As it turns out, the turkeys are on sale. My Christmas turkey is bigger and was less expensive than my Thanksgiving turkey! It is sitting in the fridge beginning its "great thaw". LOL.

How nice! I love a bargain turkey--it's like a game each year to find them. One year our propane supplier gave us a free one--that was cool.

And the adventure continues. Went grocery shopping today just to "pick up a few things". Two bags of food, along with cat food and cat litter, was just over $60!!!! Sigh. I think most prices have gone up, but there are still some sale items that help.

Oh, and it appears my store is now "mask optional". Most people still wearing but some not. I, of course, still wore mine and will for a while yet.

Aldi yesterday still required masks (city mask mandate hasn't yet been dropped) but apparently science education has failed many Americans, who seemingly have no idea that there is a connection between the nose and mouth and both lead to the lungs.

Steve, what are the benchmarks your local officials are looking for you to hit before dropping the mandate?

We went to Market Basket today, and it was masks optional. We wore them, and I would estimate that about 2/3 were wearing them (higher for employees - I would say more like 80 - 90 percent wearing masks). The sign on the door said that masks were not required if vaccinated, and were required if not vaccinated. I figure the people who would be more honest and conscientious about this policy would also tend to be the people who got vaccinated, but I guess the biggest risk is to the unmasked, unvaccinated people.

I thought masks were mostly useful for containing your own spital and airborne germs. The unvaccinated person isn’t going to be much protected by wearing a mask.

We want the unvaccinated person to wear a mask because that unvaccinated person is a petri dish for a variant of the virus. Also of course he could get the regular virus which could break through our own vaccine barrier.

Yes, that’s my understanding of “the science. “

According to extensive testing by the EPA, masks vary widely in effectiveness, but all provide some protection to the wearer.

    https://www.epa.gov/sciencematters/e...ainst-covid-19

"In their study of masks recommended for the public, the researchers emphasize the importance of mask material and fit. Their results indicate that not only are certain cloth masks effective at keeping out viral particles, but in many cases perform as well as or better than non-N95 medical masks. Fabrics with multiple woven layers and reducing gaps provide substantially more particle filtration. The team continues to explore mask performance with studies in progress on the effects of facial hair and face shape on mask fit. The results of these projects will help the public and health care professionals choose mask options that provide the greatest level of protection."
