Razz, that’s great about your cemetery friends). Cataract surgery results last forever and getting it done was great. I still need reading glasses though.

What a lovely story, Razz, and what a great group. One of the problems of living so isolated with Covid is forgetting just how great people are, for the most part.

For the last year or two, I had been saving egg cartons for a local woman who raises chickens. I don't know her but she had put out a request on our local FB giving page. Today she sent me a message that she wants to give me a dozen eggs as a thank you, which is a sweet and unexpected surprise.

How nice, rr! I used to do the same thing, but then was told the person had enough for a couple years. I guess she got responses from more people than just me. LOL

The orchid that I gave Mom when she went into the first assisted living place looked dead after a year in isolation in the pandemic--obviously she had stopped watering it, and nobody else bothered. It was one brown
leaf. I brought it home in January and now it is healthy and flourishing, with three glossy green leaves!

(She used to love her orchids, and always gave then a bath with the sprayer every day, because she said they lived in tropical rain forests, and it rained every day. I am suspicious of this "ice cube orchid thing." So bringing it back feels like I am channeling her spirit a little and she's still in there!)

That's so nice, Tybee! I had one and gave it to a sibling who was better with orchids than it turns out I was.

    Way to go!
