Surprisingly here in the Rio Grande Vally of TX….. most people are still wearing masks.

Saw yesterday that Costco pharmacy sells pet medicines. Might be worth checking out? My prescription there if I pay cash is less than $10 for a 3 month supply otherwise $30 through insurance. Have checked cash price other places and never that low!

Here is some of the fruits of my labors from the estate-clearing job:Leather Sofa.jpg Got a big bottle of leather conditioner and went to work, and viola! Our old, stained crappy sofa is GONE and we with hired movers we didn't have to lift a finger to move either one!

Wonderful when restoration by thorough cleansing is possible.

I got to do QiGong ( 7 minute stretches) on the porch as it was 42 degrees and sunny. It is wonderful to be outside. Yesterday we pruned the blueberries and it was so much easier with my husband's portable reciprocating saw. He did the work and I hauled the branches. 2 tarps full! And the daffodil greens are poking up.

So sorry Bengals lost. It was close.

I'm sorry they lost too, but I'm delighted that they made it as far as they did. My daughter was 10 the last time they made it this far, she's 43 now.

I was actually rooting for the Bengals as well... such a good game, though!

A skater like this comes along once in a lifetime. She is magnificent. She’s only 15.

I stopped watching figure skating several years ago when the emphasis became about triple jumps. Only half the girls could complete them, and a quarter of the girls completed them sometimes, and almost all of them signaled when they were going to do a big jump. I don’t care if the skaters can do a double or triple, I simply don’t care about little jumping beans and I felt their routines were ruined by the “is she gonna make it or not” focus on jumps. My last favorite skater was Sasha Cohen who is gorgeous, artistic, and could not do triples.

I thought Tara Lipinski was like a little jumping bean, did not like her as a skater. But this Russian Kamila girl is effortless in completing these triple jumps that the skating world seems to think is important. She does it superbly and consistently. And more importantly to me, her spins and her artistry are remarkable.
Oh nooooo! Kamila has been revealed to be doping. i guess if it looks too good to be true, it IS too good.

i wonder if they have her on hormone blockers as well. Skinny petite boy-body girls can propel themselves high into the air and more physically mature skaters cannot. Also, these hugh jumps and hard landings are hard on their developing bones that will eventually catch up to them in skeletal damage.

Dear International Skating Community, please for the love of god stop emphasizing quad or even triple jumps in women’s skating. I dont care about them. Let “mature” skaters of the ripe old age of 25 exhibit their advanced artistry and earn allocades for it. That they cant jump like a dumb bean doesnt matter to me.
