I have waaay more better important worthwhile things to invest what little bittybit of spending money I have. See--my 1966 Chevy Malibu is about due for new seat upholstery, and it will cost about what one o' those ticckicks to see 1/4 of the mop-topped foursome, live and in See-I'm-addled(or Spokane, the night before) Ha. Yup. Thankk Mee. Too mature for that teeny-bopper stuff.

Okay---Guess What? I went shopping for furniture. Yup. Thats the sort of thing you kids are interested in, right? Ha. Anyway, I've made several purchases of large pieces of furniture, lately. I even drove my 77 GMC(perfessional grade) to the sellers' location, and took delivery. I even unloaded my new-to-me furniture, and moved them indoors. Well, some of it. Because I got outdoor furniture, too! I looked online at the manufacturers' list price on some of these pieces, and I saved a ton of money by shopping the way I did.! Anyway, what it is is file cabinets. 4-drawer, 5-drawer, 2-drawer, and even a couple of Lateral file cabinets. Yup.<( They say Yup in I-wah, as a figure of speech, essentially meaning affirmative. It's almost ree-diculous, so now I do it, for fun. Ha.) Okay--where was I? Anyhow the filing cabinets have become obsolete. Much filing of documents has become electronic. Yup. So, you have many nice old file cabinets hitting the market, and sometimes pretty cheap. But guess what? People are catching on to just how useful these office cast-offs are to organize your belongings at home, or in the shop. See? So, prices may vary, depending. Yup. Oh, another couple I-wah catch phrases used by active listers are: "awesome" and "amazing". Yup. Only, if you're really I-wah, you say ahhhh-summmm or a-may-zeeen. Ha. Now you know. Hope that helps you some. Thankk Mee. I'm just here to help.

I just happened to see how some of you kids are engaged in a discussion of Bah-stun, and how they taaak. Here's a Bahh-stun joke: How many Kennedys does it take to screw in a light bulb? A: 3. One to hold the bulb, while the other two DRINK enough to make the room spin! Ha. Anyway, my cousin, who grew up in a littlebitty town waaay up north, the same zact town that Ak's most notorious-ever serial killer did(yup), moved to Bahh-stun some time ago, after having lived waaay up dere in Wah-sKon-sun for quite awhile. Just try and visulize what kind of hybred accent SHE has by now! Yup. Anyway, she seems to have assimilated, very nicely. She married an Italian-American, whom I'm told has close ties with organized Boxing AND she posted a meme in support of a politician she says she knows personally and "is a real nice guy" . Ha. Arent they all? Okay: The pol is apparently related by marriage(or intermarriage) to the late Jackie Kenn-O-dee! Isn't that cool? Not really. But, that makes her a bona fide Boston-American, doesn't it? Awesome & Amazing. Yup.

Well, you didn't say where you went shopping, so not sure why one should "thankk mee" for lack of information?
Late last year, I went to a neighbors garage sale and bought one of two of their lateral file cabinets from their closed business. I need it for work stuff that needs to be backed up in paper form, as well as electronically. Part of me wishes I had the garage space for the other, as I have seen people use them for larger power tool storage.
What part of Iowa? Anywhere close to Waverly? Roy's still a thing (where the Hooters founders as well as some others, got their basic idea)?
    What happened to the Packard?

Yup, I've heard o' Waverly. I may have been through there, at one time, though I can't recollect it. One of my cousins graduated from the college o' higher indoctrination, there. So did the guy I bought my 66 Chevelle, from. The school is named Wartburg College. Ha. To paraphrase the Smuckers ad: "With a name like Wartburg, you know it's got to be good". Some I-wah Logic for you. It's close to home, and you can be a "big fish...", but the tuition is not cheap. Ha. But, I lived---not really--I existed---in I-wah for many, many years. Too many. And I have lived in, and stayed overnight in, many more I-wah -burgs, -Groves, -tons, -Centers, -ville(s), -Rapids, -Lakes -City(s) -Falls, etc., etc. But, on a regular basis, I will hear o' some place name in I-wah, that I am not at all familiar with, and so I have to look it up! But yeah---Waverly is about 100 miles from the littlebitty town waaaay up in the middle o' nowhere, that I "lived". I follow the news at the old home City, and it's like reading MAD magazine. The place continues to perplex and entertain me with the level of-------oh, "if I can't say something nice, I won't say anything at all". I was on the receiving end of that homily, on account of my littlebittyopinion of their community moooo-vee theater rescue project. Longtime residents(norwegians) use corny sayings to make rhetorical statements about everything. Ha. To be continued.....

Okay----I'll tell you what else I do with them file cabinets. I order up a set of four steel casters off EBay for $26, and put 'em on the bottom. That way, the repurposed cabinet can be moved around more readily. Retards corrosion, too.. Sometimes, I cut a piece of plywood to enclose the bottom of the cabinet. This keeps stuff, including mice, ants, and other critters, from getting in. This upgrading costs more than the cabinet, usually. But, it's worth it. Yup. Hope that helps you some. Thankk Mee. To be continued......
