Okay---first decent day, after some chilly windy ones. I did get my used auction lowboy file home. It has a lower file drawer, then two regular drawers for storage. It's perfect,for me. Already has casters on it! Yup. I picked up a cheap plastic drawer divider at DolGen, to use in the upper drawer. This will keep my "stuff" at hand, and organized. Tired of rummaging around, after Cats knock things off. See? But, today, I did more painting on my utility trailer, and moved stuff around. Getting ready to remove summa these Zurra Trees,and before you start protesssin' and stuff---these Zurra Trees are like giant weeds! Shoulda never let 'em grow, in the first place. They are just a liability. But, yeah---there's some logistics and some equipment hassling to do, before I get under way. I am hurrying, too. I got a nice assortment of chain saws, and I'll check them, tomorrow. Hope that helps you some. ThankkMee.

Yeah---Good. Plastic usually isn't used for picked foods; the plastic is I guess subject to degredation by vinergar. Or something. I prefer Great Value Instant coffee,in the VERY useful plastic bottle; but sometimes buy Always save, which is in glass, because the store is closer. But yeah--the pickles are Vlasic Brand. That's the kind that uses the bird icon, that also emulates the voice of the late Groucho Marx on tEE-vEE. But, that's not why I bought them. It says they are Zesty Bread & Butter Chips, for sammmiches. But,I just eat 'em directly from the bottle. Vinegar is beneficial, and salt is the staff of life. Yup. Even though dietitians or whoever have vilified salt. I have been eating baloney & mustard & pimento spread sandwiches, at times, lately. S'what us po' fokes eat. Sounds good, does it not?

You know, the pickles I like do have a relatively short shelf life, with a sell by date that's usually a few months out rather than a couple of years. What you say about vinegar degrading plastic would explain that.

TYVM, R/R. Yeah---Pickles are yummy and so are pickled sliced Jalapenos. I have been buying them in the gallon-sized, to put on everything except ice cream. Yup. I know that's extreme, but hey---I am Mr Extreme. Okay---I was sitting, watching a video a former co-worker sent, about a surfer dude who surfs off the coast of Michigans' Upper Peninsula. Lake Superior,dude! Whoaaa, that's icy cold up dere! Yah. So, since I find heights to be a challenge, I decided to look into hiking to Michigans High point, which is also located on the UP. Way out in the middle o' nowhere. Nothin' up dere people; nuthin' but BEARS. Ha. Anyway, the high point is just under 2000' in elevation, so it doesn't classify as a mountain, by some people's standard. But, it's a 12 mile hike--one way-- in Bear Country, so that should compensate for the diminished Fear Factor. Yup. Okay---Quote o' the Day---"For Gods' Sake---Get Out! I believe that was Father Holywater, in that really,really,really scarrrreee mOOVEE, uh---Amityville Horror. Yup. Did you kids know that in the last few years we lost Margot Kidder? Yup. Did you know we also lost Ronnie DeFeo ,Jr? He died in prison, age 69. Plus--we also lost Ken Osmond, who played "Eddie Haskell" on Leave it to Beaver", back when tEE-vEE was just a vast wasteland, and not a post-cataclysmic hell-hole,like it is, now. Yup. That lovely Dutch Colonial-style home in Amityville on Lawnguyland is stigmatized, to this very day. They(various owners) remodeled it a bit, and changed out those triangle-shaped windows on the top floor, to square ones. Even changed the address. Ha--You can run, but you can't hide! It's still there, for oddballs to satisfy their perverse curiosity, and drive by or even stop and take a photo. Yup. Maybe if I get time, someday.......Hope that helps you some. Thankk Mee.

But, yeah---R/R that's right---you have your Lizzy Borden Murder BnB practically in your backyard! Y'know--if'd been on that jury, I figure I'da voted to acquit, as well. See--the defendant(Lizzy) and also her sister were over 30, had not found a man & left home. The odds were now stacked against them, and THEN---they found themselves up against a scheming, avaricious step-mother, who posed a serious threat to their financial well-being! What started out prob'ly as a little spat over the last slice o' bacon, ended up with a hatchet being applied to the stepmom. Then, they had to finish off the Daddy, too. Or, maybe the other way around. I forget. But, yeah---she was notorious and obviously, still is. Though, there's prolly quite a few of you young uns who haven't heard the story. It's been on tEE-vEE, I'm sure. Way up north,in Southern I-wah, they have The Villisca Axe Murder House. I've visited it, met the curator/owner, & toured the place. Yup. He bought it cheap, and reverse-restored it to an as-then period piece. No plumbing,no 'lectricity. It rents for weekend stays, too. Pretty remarkable, even if the place had not been the scene of the 1912 bludgeoning deaths of 6 children and two adults, as-yet unsolved! People could only speculate on a motive. But guess what?---I read a NF book a year or two ago called: "The Man From The Train", which chronicles a series--or several series--of "ax murders" in that time period, all unsolved. Yup. See--the common denominators were that they were home invasions, late at night, in rural communities located along RR lines. After I read the book, I emailed the author an update of a factoid that has become known since the publication of his book, which he acknowledged. . But, yeah--there is a now-retired Perfessor from that town in I-wah where they served the "breakfast pizza" that time I visited, who is pretty much an expert on the case. Yup. Dr Epperly. Okay---Let me Putin things in perspective---major price increases in the cost of tuition at MIT and the fee for taking the ACT,make me long for the GOOD OLD DAYS during the border war that Britain & it's Big Dumb Brother escalated into the conflict now known as WW2! Yup. Russia was then our buddy, our amigo, our Ally, in a united front against Germany (& the Empire of Japan), who now makes those delightful VWs that some people even have more than one of!! Or 'Cedes's and Porches! Yup. The Good old days, just like on Tee-Vee! Kind of like a tag-teammatch on perfessional wrasslin' .You can relive those days on youtube,and watch the old episodes of Combat!, starring Vic Morrow & Rick Jason. and Selig Seligman as Producer. I forgot to mention something VERY interesting I learned, several years ago. See---back around 1914-15 or so, the Czar needed some nice, new Mosin-Nagants, so his troops could parade around in front of his palaces. Well, he placed an order with U.S. arms makers Remington & also Westinghouse, for a whole bunch of them. A whole bunch. Well, they got them made, and ready to ship, but then there was a prollem. What happened was---some "insurrectionists" overthrew the Czarist gummint, and since he was the one paying, well---they stopped paying for them. This presented a BIG prollem for Remington & Westinghouse, but what happened was a bailout of sorts in which the US gummint took delivery on the rifles, and used them for various purposes, such as training. Yup. One issue was--those rifles used Ammo distinctly Russian-sized. But, they made ammo for them, here. Plus, the Gummmint resold a bunch of them to a U.S. company that modified them to use 30.06, like good old' USA Army rifles, and resold them to John Q. Public. Yup. So, a Remington or Westinghouse Mosin is a collector piece. Yup. Hope you enjoyed that factoid. ThankMee.

Okay---Here's some local news, about so-called entertainment.At the old,restored mOO-vEE theater,which is primarily a small venue for live music, they've booked a dude named Eric Gales. Well,in the ad copy,it has a quote of Joe Bonamassa saying that Gales is one ofthe greatest guitar-players alive. An endorsement that is pretty lukewarm, coming from ol' Joe. Ha. Also, at the cities largest venue, they've booked a guy named Travis Tritt, and I can tell you that he is one of THE most annoying country singers around. Evidently, the promoters are just sure they can fill the arena with idiots who want to listen to crap like that. I don't wanna debate you kids about this subject, either. Okay----here's your assignment: go on you tube and listen to The Brooklyn Duo featuring the Dover Quartet covering Imogen Heaps' "Hide and Seek". They prolly won't be coming to this town; they're not corny & stupid enough to rate, here. Only ultra-stupid rates, here. Hope that helps you some. Thankk Mee.

Okay---tell you what---talk is cheap. Yup. I see some of you kids are saying yadayadayadayadayadayada....etc.etc.etc., expressing your deepest heartfelt concern for the people of the sovereign state of Ukraine. But guess what? You're what they call: virtue signaling. Yup. Lemme tell ya something: My Grandfather's cousin---one of them---was a farm boy in North Dakota,okay? Well, later on in the 1930's, he traveled to Spain to join one of the factions in the Spanish Civil War! Yup. He wasn't "virtual signaling", like you kids! He wasn't a Spanish national, he had no dog in the fight, they weren't his monkeys or his circus. Ha. But, he apparently had a strong opinion for a cause, and he joined up to play an active part! True story. Yup. My suggestion is, put up,or shut up! Go fight as a partisan on behalf of Ukraine, or shut up! How many more fxxxkin threads are you going to start up on this subject?
