[TLDR: 5 Shipments for the same order have been received and all of them wrong.]

Our kitchen cabinets in Herman were provided by Diamond company through Lowe’s. Nice cabinets, I’m happy with them,, everything went smoothly except for one thing and that is apparently a special order to get cabinet doors with no fronts so that we can put in glass.

The ordering of these things was so convoluted that our Lowe’s representative said “I’ll just order them for you later, and you don’t have to pay for them.”

That was February. By June of our cabinets came and DH installed them. All but these four cabinet doors. Since then we’ve had five incorrect shipments. As of today we have three of the doors, we just need one more.

Yesterday we drove 30 miles to the Lowe’s store because we had an appointment with the kitchen cabinet designer who has already sold us two incorrect shipments. We brought with us one of the cabinet doors that is correct so that we could show him exactly what we want.

After driving 30 miles there, we found that he was not at work that day, he had called in sick. When we asked to speak to the store manager that guy didn’t have any good suggestions Tell us to come back and talk to the kitchen designer.

At some point I’ll probably contact Diamond directly. See, I haven’t wanted to complain too much up to this point because we were not in a huge hurry for these cabinet doors, they are free to us, we like the kitchen cabinets and Diamond did a really decent job in meeting the timeline they said they would meet. But FIVE incorrect shipments?

Update: today we received shipment #6. It was wrong.

This, after DH spent an hour with the Lowe’s cabinet guy, who then sent the order on to the Diamond cabinet company representative to check it and place the order.

Thanks to a former cop becoming a pain pill drug addict, I have to testify in a murder trial next week. I am the next in line for the chain of custody and without me, evidence wouldn't be allowed to be entered into the trial.

I'm not an Officer. I am a civilian Police employee. That's what makes this even worse! I didn't sign up for having to testify in court cases.

Me too! I was supposed to go yesterday or today but the trial got postponed because one of the four defendants got Covid. Now it looks like it might be next Thursday or Friday that I would go. This is the second time in 28 years that I've had to go and testify so it is a rarity but I don't like it. First time was a long time ago when I work in the Warrant Unit and I had to testify that the Officer had the right to chase a guy because there was an active Felony warrant out for him. I have never been so nervous and my time on the stand only lasted a few minutes. This is a murder trial that literally spans the entire US because it's basically a huge drug operation that turned deadly. I am an introvert so the idea of having so many people staring at me is giving me great anxiety.

Yep. One for each of the four defendants. Saw them in my mailbox and was like, "What the heck??!!!"

I wish you could just give your testimony via video.
My mom's guardianship case was all done by video because of Covid.
But I doubt they would allow any of that in a murder trial.
