The thing is I have a hard time concentrating on actual books sitting upright in an uncomfortable chair. I read flopped on the couch at home or propped up with pillows and a heating pad in bed in bed at night. My ability to concentrate on books has gotten more difficult lately; I blame it on all the computer scrolling, scanning the headlines, in general digesting (or not) quick little read-bites. It is something I need to correct, like many of us - less screen time would fix it, I'm sure.
Today is a work day and is bound to be slow again. After sweeping up and dusting the gallery, I'm going to finish some knitting and take my computer so I can work on organizing photos, maybe put some images up for sale in a collector's group I'm in.
I so miss my old job managing the other gallery - my studio was in the back so I could work on metalsmithing during down-time, and if I was tired I could lay down on the bed back in the bedroom and take a cat nap (I had a bell on the door to alert me when people were coming in). Those were the days!
