Okay---Update on f-book case study who recently wasted $$$$ on Carts ticckiccks. Since then, he has sat-n-watched teee-veee foobaw, and commented on the outcome. The subject was definitely not an athlete as a chubby youth. Nope. The latest event he did for something to "do", was attend a 4-course yummy meaty meal which also featured four kinds of micro-swill with frou-frou sounding names. Cost:$70. The subject did not mention the driving distance, to-and-from, but I figure traffic is murder, there. Yep--when you get my age, why---that's all there is to "do" is sit-n-watch & drive-n-eat! And pay big money to do it. Ha. Hope that helps you kids some. Thankk Mee.

Okay---Does this look like a half-a-million dollar home, to you? It's located on a cramped street that looks like an alleyway, that is also a steep grade, clear out in suburbia, near tangle town. Built in the 40's, & obviously remodeled, on a 4500 s.f. lot, so you don't hafta mow, much. Ha. Agents used to describe these as a cozy starter or rental home. Yup. But yeah--that is the West Coast for you.2022-12-17 (9).jpg

That would go for close to half a million in my neck of the woods as well.

Okay---RR, the housing madness is annoying. The county here loves it---this way, they can drive around, up your assessment to pay for the spending habits of the school board and the sherriffs department. Yup. But my theory is, in many cases it actually causes poverty. Someday I will discuss the economics of expensive housing, here. Thankk Mee.

Okay---you kids no doubt are wondering---"how's lbb coming on his cottage project?". Well, it is making progress, but in stats and stops. I worked on it Sun thru Weds, but due to weather conditions, will be off until the first of next week. Yup. Unless the fortecast is wrong. But yeah--moved stuff around, and removed a temporary partition I built in the 1990's. Ha. Then, replaced the ceiling material, and while I was at it, some insulation up above. If it isd milder than the forecast predicts, I may reconbnect some witring and fixtures, and rearrange things out there. But yeah---there are things I need to see to, inside here, as well. Hope that helps you some.

Okay---this area is having a bit of extra-cold weather, so several churches & lirrrarry branches have opened up "warming centers" for homeless bums. I am not homeless, so fortunately don't qualify. But, I am staying indoors and tending the wood stove. The list of places does NOT include any o' the mega-monster auditoriums for the whoop-n-hollar-n-rant-rave save-your-soul-cause-jesus-died-for-your-eternal-salvation-churches. nope. They are MUCH too holy, for that. But yeah--it's cold, for awhile.Maybe I'll read some books.

Okay---Friday, I went to use the coin laundry up near one of THE most busy intersections in town. More on that subject, later. But yeah---I needed to use the coin-o-mat, on account of the cold weather, which causes the pipe in my laundry room to freeze. To remedy that is another project for another time. Yup. But, while I was there, IU went into the pawn shop next to the wash-o-teria, and rescued two classic bikes they had sitting there, for quite some time. Both of them need some work, but nothing major. One has the drop bars turned upside--down, street people-style. Both bikes need general cleanup, adjustment, and new bar tape. The older one with the upside-down dropo bars also has a VERY comfterbal aftermarket fat springer seat(saddle) and chromed steel seat post, that I will replace with a more original part. Yup. The other is newer, but not new--an aluminum-framed Lemond road bike. Though it's an entry-level model, it is a pretty deluxe bike. Hope they are not "hot". There was a very newish Specialized on/off road bike at the pawn shop that I could a had for the price of these two old road bikes, combined. Buit yeah----road bikes have been eclipsed in popularity by so-called mountain bikes. The street people and vagrants like them better, too. I dug out a set o' barely-used tires for the Lemond, that I've had in storage, awhile. That's a project for this morning. Happy Holiday, and hopwe your team wins. Ha. Thank Mee.

Okay---I wanted to ask you kids a quession, since I kinow you are ALL very(x4444) learned. By learned, I mean not only a big University Degree, but a serious amount of Tee-Vee and Moo-vees, especially Schlemielberg moo-veees. But yeah---so the question I have is: Why isn't Napoleon Bonaparte constantly vilified in popular media, these days? After all, his French armies overran most of Western Europe, and he even took the Pope captive, at one point! See map. So, why doesn't Napoleon epitomize the sociopathic national leader? That said, he even has a fancy mausoleum in Paree, that is a major attraction, there! Famous for being notorious. Yup. Try and answer2022-12-25 (1).jpg2022-12-25 (2).jpg THAT one. Ha.

Okay----Shop Local, at the nearby bricks-n-mortar. Right? Well, to an extent. This place, in addition to being crime-ridden with WT meth head losers & so on, is not a place to purchase anything out of the ordinary. Retaail is just one big Big-Box, with generic stuff. Supply houses that cater to pros almost won't accept business from walk-in customers. Been that way forever. So yeah---I recently ordered two items online through the 'bay and thru bezo-bay, that got to my door quick, considering the weather conditions & hollidaze. So--if you went to places that claim they are the local go-to for this kind of stuff, they'd give you a dumb look. They'd claim it is not available or try to sell you something else. See? Plus, the traffic, down and back. Hope that helps you some. Thankk mee.
