Okay---The latest book I been reading is The Accidental Victim, by James Reston jr. It is concerning the JFK assassination, which I'm sure you kids have already heard and seen enough about, formed an opinion, and now-- you've have had media overload & are jaded. There've been literally 1000's of books and articles and other media pieces, contending that it was a conspiracy of some faction & a cover-up. I've read enough of those to realize that those sound like that rantings of a paranoid schizophrenic. I've also read the credible "Death of a President"(Wm Manchester), "Lee & Marina"(McMillan); "Case Closed"(Posner); "Lee: A Portrait"(Robert Oswald); and several others that make sense. .I've also read just enough of "Oswalds Tale(Mailer) to recognize what a piece of junk it is. Lots and LOTS of junk journalism is out there, by people with an axe to grind, like Oswald himself. But, "Accidental Victim" is factual, credible, and dovetails perfectly with the other credible, non-schizo works I've read. Yup. But, the novel premise of Restons' book is presenting what has lain in plain sight all along, but been purposely overlooked by officialdom and the media, all along--something that does amount to a conspiracy. But yeah---what it is, is that Kennedy was NOT the primary target in the shooting perpetrated by Oswald. Kennedy, (just as was Officer Tippit) was collateral damage; the object of Oswalds antipathy, fueled by his inner rage, was the Governor of Texas, John Connally, who was seriously wounded but survived. Oswald despised Conally, but admired Kennedy! That has been fully documented. I guess it was because Kennedy, being the president, and the Cold War against the spread of Communism, received top billing. Connally was a career pol, not a statesman, who later defected to the Republican Party, as Oswald had defected to Russia and redefected to the USA. But yeah---Average americans can not wrap their heads around a nobody like Oswald doing something so outrageous on his own. But, my new neighbor across the street who is a renter, also is making payments on a Huuuuge Dodge Ram Monster Pickup that no doubt cost more than the home he is renting sold for, several years ago. Plus, a huuuuge tee-veee, as well. But, he's still "normal". If he has any opinion about the assassination, it is that it was a conspiracy, coverup or whatever. Yup. So anyway, Accidental Victim is a really good book, and Reston is a very fine writer, as well as a scholar. Yup. Hope that helps you some. Here's a photo of Connally. Thank mee2023-01-13 (3).jpg

Well, I 'bout got all the ceiling work done in my backyard cottage. Now to finish putting the trim around them, then close up a couple holes in the walls, and put up the light fixtures and do some paint work & caulking. Yup. L:otta work, especially reaching overhead on a ladder or stool. I already moved my file cabinets out there, so they'd be in outta the weather, and to see how they fit in the space. Also, I've got to rearrange the shelving and put the stuff back on them. Valuable, very important stuff. So, don't tell me to go ahead and dumpster it all.

If you are comfortable with what you are keeping in your personal inventory, then that is all that matters. I wouldn't dreaming of telling you to get rid of anything, and I likewise would not pay any attention if you told me to throw out my bottle of glycerin.

Ha. True; but I was a Bad Boy this years. Yup. See--"Oswaldkowich" as he was sometimes referred to,as was a devout fan of Marx. He was idealistic, to a fault. That is why he emigrated to Russia--he thought living under a pseudo-communist regime would be much better. In our time, he'd be living in Portla-laland or Seeimaddled. But yeah---among other things, he was VERY troubled by ray--cizzm in America and segregation, having grown up in the mid-south. In 1the spring of 1963, he attempted to assassinate retired General Edwin Walker, in Dallas, with the same rifle he later used on that dreadful deadly day in Dealy in Downtown Dallas. Walker had been an avid anti-desegregationist(in fact--relieved of his command by Kennedy); and that was Oswalds' motive. That and the fact that Ozzie was one of those over-aggressive, impetuous young guys in his 20's. Like the young fella from that littlebitty town waaaay up in the middle-o-nowhere who naively re-upped for a 2nd tour o' duty in Nam, because it was for a good cause, and then was killed by a grenade two weeks later. But yeah---Oswald shot at Walker, just for spite, and shot at Connolly(hitting Kennedy), who for less than a year was Sec'y of the Navy,( which oversees the Marines), when the Honorable discharge Oswald received was amended to an Undesirable Discharge, while Oswald was in Russia. When Oswald wrote and asked for a re-hearing on the matter, he was essentially stonewalled. Connally staff sent him a letter, with Connally's smiling face pictured on the envelope. Connally was subsequently elected Governor of Texas. He was a old-school conservative Democrat, who also opposed de-segregation. So yeah---his politics, and the fact that he snubbed Oswald, caused Oswald to intensely dislike him. See? The very first witness to testify before the Warren Commission(as it is popularly called)was Oswalds' Widow, Marina. She indicated that A)Oswald shot at Walker B)Disliked Connally C)Had no grudge against Kennedy. See? So, the incident in Dealy was Ozzie lashing out at the system who allowed men like Connally to govern. Yup. I can't say I agree with what Oswald did; he was a dangerous man. No doubt about it. But, most assassins AREsomeone LIKE Oswald(or Jacob "Jack Ruby" Rubenstein), whether they represented a good cause or not. Hope that helps you some. Thankk zMee. Edited to add: Faux, Now that your chalet is nearing completion, I'd like to suggest that you have your underling construct a lovely golden chhair, suitable for a Queen, to sit in. Yup. like this one.2023-01-15 (1).jpg2023-01-15 (1).jpg2023-01-15 (1).jpg

TYVM, R/R. That stuff is VERY important. To me, anyweay. But yeah---as for gycerine, it is a VERY important chemical compound, used for many important products. So much so, that you could probably purchase it in plastic drums of 35 or more gallons, for far less than small consumer-sized bottles of it cost. Then, you could store it in at out-of-the-way at your place, and siphon it into dispensers, and hand carry it to the point of use. Yup. Edited to add: Here is where I source many VERY important and useful materials. It is commonly referred to as a roll-off container. Yup. This one has a built-in ladder, which is VERY helpful and makes for EZ-access. Some day we should have a discussion here about the techniques and politics for salvaging from trash dumpsters. It does require technique and discretion. I tread lightly, because we have too many cops here in Crimefilled, just looking to cite someone, here. Also, you want to avoid physical injury to yourself. Specially if you have no ins coverage. Yup.2023-01-16 (1).jpg

Bobby, I unfortunately thought of you yesterday when I was listening to Joe Rogan interview two Kansas City boys who have made their name doing ghost hunting videos on YouTube. Joe asked them where was the most evil place ever visited and they said Villisca. I know you’ve been to Villisca. Apparently there’s a theory that a man who rode a train and killed many people along a train route is responsible for those deaths.

The same two boys from Kansas City talked about their visits to Vlad the Impaler’s places in Transylvania, the Haunts of Count Dracula. Since I’ve been there I knew what they were talking about.

Joe mentioned the JonBenét Ramsey house in Boulder. He said he lived in Boulder for a while and when he was househunting he saw that house for sale and wondered why it was so cheap. The remarkable thing is that these two boys from Kansas City did not know about JonBenét Ramsey. How very weird. They would’ve been toddlers when she was killed.

Okay---TYVM for your input on that subject. Not very many people are willing to discuss such important issues, here. But yeah---I've read "The Man From The Train", by a father/daughter team of writers. It discusses the theory that the VAM was committed by a serial killer who rode the rails, back then. Rail transportation was about all there was, to travel any distances. There really was no highway system. But yeah---the authors document late-night home-invasion axe murders of families in the usa, that occurred during that time frame---late 1800's-preWW1. After I read the book, I emailed the Author about a relevant factoid I had run across on Findagrave, so they could update future editions. Also, Prof. Edgar Epperly has studied the Villisca case since the mid-50's, and published a book and has made a number of appearances in small towns waaaay up north in the middle o' nowhere, to speak about his book. Just for something to do. But no---I'm not driving alllll the way to IWAH, though. I'd have to listen to people attending the lectures ask dumb, ignorant questions, and I'd prolly tell 'em to read the book, idiot. You know how those IWAH people are. But yeah---I've read one about the Ramsey case, and it goes without saying that it is VERY pathetic. Plus, you have the John M Karr aspect, but I believe he's a nut who had nothing to do with the crime. Just an attention-seeker, who needed a plane ticket back to the USA from Thailand. We need a special forum on here for Crime, etc. But, the downside to that is, just as in the world of all things automotive, it attracts its share of unintelligent participants. Take for example, the online HAMB. Or the twittr threads about the idaho murders. Idiots galore. Hope that helps you some. Thankk Mee.2022-08-15 (11).jpg2023-01-03 (5).jpg2022-07-22 (8).jpg
