Domestic assault is everywhere, even in enlightened New England. A Cohasset man was recently arrest for the murder of his wife, which is horrible enough, but he was also stupid beyond belief. Okay---that is very quaint. Yup. I was reading about the graveyard in Vah-mont, that has a 19th-century burial with a glass window into the coffin of the deceased. How quaint is that? But yeah---25 years ago, I wqoke up to my across-the-street neighbor calling me about police cars and a News Truck in front of a place 3 doors down. Well, I went down and axed the reporter what was going on, and she said that the lady had been murdered, and asked if I knew them? I did not comment, except to thank her for the info, and left to call my neighbor. But yeah---he had strangled her, early in the morning, called the police & his inlaws, and hired the high-profile "defense" attorney here(who doesn't get people acquitted, btw), and he is now serving life w/no parole. The couple was employed by one o' the churches headquartered, here, btw. So anyway---my guestimate, baswed on following the local mugshots news feed, is that about 3 out of 4 arrestees for DomAss(as I call it) are male. Which still leaves a substantial number of Ladies being charged with the crime, because it really is a common occurrence. Yup.
