I wonder what her rationale was for such an idea. If the evidence is anywhere near as strong as the indictment suggests letting trump off the hook seems like a really bad idea, both from a "we are a nation of laws and no one is above them" standpoint, and from a "don't politicize the DOJ" standpoint. Especially since on the latter point doing this would hand the 2024 election to the republicans. Thankfully the DOJ doesn't take advice from political pundits.
