My maintenance needed light has been on for a few hundred miles which usually means oil change time. There is a four bay garage a couple of miles away with dependable mechanics and reasonable prices, but you need to book ahead of time and leave the car for most of a day. So, I'm at the local XMonkey where they try to upsell you on expensive fluid or filter changes. Everyone working there is about 17 and you get a little nervous about them knowing the difference between the oil pan and the transmission. Of course back when we walked to school through 3 feet of snow we also changed our own oil and filter, but no one does that anymore including me. So I don't know if it's a rant or a rave since they can get you out of there in a half hour or so, but wonder what they messed up.

pinkytoe. We had the same thing happen. Our cars are much more complex now so we only take them to our favorite dealer who does discounted oil changes. Probably so we will see the new cars.

I have a customer who needs to get hit by a bus. One of his staff sent a request at 5:15pm yesterday REI wearing something be done. We leave at 5. I did the thing this morning. Idiot customer called me a lazy b*tch and incompetent for not staying to do it. He claims an email was sent around 1pm with the request, but no one in my company has such an email. Salesman (a nice one) with my company who handles this customer called me to find out what happened. He got a profanity laced tirade. I was so angry I was shaking. I’d happily piss on this customer’s grave. Treat me like crap or piss me off and you’re an enemy for life.

His staff probably told him an email was sent because they are afraid of him. I bet he treats everyone the same way.

Oh ugh! I try not to rant but I decided on a whim to color my hair, which had gotten sort of white in places plus dirty blonde and actually looked pretty cool. So I thought I'll dye it with herbatint swedish blonde because that is the color it is now and it will smoothe it out a little and it won't look so bright.

It has turned my hair red. I hate it. I went out and bought head and shoulders and crushed up vitamin c and was out in the yard for half an hour with it on and it is no better. I've now washed it about ten times and it is gross.

Any suggestions? I am so mad at myself--I should have left well enough alone.
