Maoism was a political philosophy preparing the masses for a cultural revolution mainly focusing on the identity politics of class. In this country we're now seeing the principles of Maoism focusing again on identity politics, although this time concentrating on race and gender. As I mentioned elsewhere in this thread, for the American left everything old is new again.
