Congrats, Bae! Your island is lucky to have you!

I see that happening in today’s left.
Seriously? I see that much much more in today's right. While they double down on "protected speech" - as in, they can say anything racist, bigoted, misogynistic thing they like, and promote lies as facts, while banning books and making it illegal to talk about sex, gender, race, and ACTUAL HISTORY in schools - and you are worried about the left? That sort of makes me laugh.

(and just as an aside - YAY Ohio voters yesterday!)

And don't forget about Ron "I will use the full powers of government to attack corporations that say things I don't approve of" DeSantis.

Maoism was a political philosophy preparing the masses for a cultural revolution mainly focusing on the identity politics of class. In this country we're now seeing the principles of Maoism focusing again on identity politics, although this time concentrating on race and gender. As I mentioned elsewhere in this thread, for the American left everything old is new again.

And you don't think republicans are attempting a cultural revolution based on race and gender? I guess you didn't get the memo that they're now the white victimhood party and the women shouldn't have bodily autonomy party.

You're right, I didn't get that memo, and I suspect nor did anyone else.

I did’nt either. I guess I should blame all of the recent “ unsubscribe” email messages I’ve sent recently.

It is so hard to be an evil Republican when I don’t get the “ how to” memos.Lost without them.

LOL, over the past 7 or 8 years Google has been hiding all correspondence from my ideological overlords in my Junk E-Mail folder. That might explain it.

Apparently plenty of other people, including both past and potential future trump administration officials got the memo.

LOL, a NY Times guest contributor doesn't like Republicans! Who'd a thunk it?

And you would dismiss legitimate concerns. Who'd a thunk that? All I can say is thank god Ohio voters respect women's bodily autonomy more than you do. Maybe there is still hope for this country despite some people's best efforts to destroy our freedoms.
