There are a lot Americans with reasonable grievances against capitalism who could have written that letter, and it is written with standard anti-capitalism words and phrases and sounds very "American" in terms of language, as if someone who had spent many years in America had written it.
The rest of the letter is definitely a threat and an indictment.
I understand that the association between bin Laden and this letter is the problem. If anyone else had written that letter, it would have gone unnoticed. I only see the danger, and cause for "cancelling" of this old letter by a dead terrorist as perhaps a danger in reviving anti-American hostilities, including terrorism. I suppose TikTok and The Guardian have simply decided that posting it is not worth that risk.
