The Commuter with Liam Neeson. I thought you had to be willing to suspend a whole lot of disbelief, but enjoyed it nonetheless.
The Bank of Dave. We loved it.

Murder Mystery with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. Surprisingly, it was pretty entertaining.

Going to try to watch Zone of Interest tonight.
I tried to read Leave the World Behind a few months ago and found it to be absolutely intolerable. I don't recall how it made its way onto my book list, but when I checked with my FB book group, my dislike was a common reaction and so I did not continue with it. Sounds like they did a better job on the movie.
Well, it's now 2024, so I hope this counts!
I second the above poster on endorsing The Bank of Dave. We hugely enjoyed this film. One of the most uplifting, feel-good movies we've seen in quite a while
And even better, it's based on a "tru-ish story.
And Leave the World Behind? We actually enjoyed it. We seem to be in the minority.

We finally watched "The Princess Bride!" It was recommended by a few people here on a favorite movie thread. I had picked up the DVD at a thrift store, probably a couple of years ago.
It was funny: During a kiss between Buttercup and Wesley early on, DH asked "Is this going to be a mushy movie?" at the very same time the little boy in the movie asked "Is this going to be a kissing story?" I said, "Wow you two are just the same only you're taller." Lol. Just for the record, DH is very much a romantic. At the end, he agreed that it was a fun movie.
Now I will re-donate the DVD.
Watching the Sixth Commandment--it's very good--first episode free on Britbox so reupped to watch that and Archie.
