John, that sounds exactly right. I spoke with a friend in her nineties who recalls her grandmother cooking on such a stove, well into the 1960's, on a farm in Italy. There was no running water, no indoor plumbing, but the house was warm and the meals were memorably good.

    I enjoyed this conversation.

okay----posts & pics submitted to this thread of pett catts have fallen off precipitously. Yup. so, here's a random shot of mooomy(top) and two o' her offspring. Moomy looks the part of a grumpy cat & so do her girls. Moomy is not grumpy, but she has approach-avoidance disorder, which perhaps explains why she mighta been abandoned nearby a church cemetery I was passing on my bike. but yeah---a guy who was mowing suggested i take that cat home with mee, so i came back in my car for several days, trying to catch her. finally she showed up where i had left food out on prior days, and though i could not catch her, another neighbor nearby caught her for mee, and took moomy home. a couple days later, she had her kits. yup. here they are, almost ten years later.(see photo) i don't pick out my catts, they pick me. see?2024-04-07 (8).jpg2024-04-07 (8).jpg2024-04-07 (8).jpg

the cat distribution system works overtime for you, Bobby,

here’s a picture of my tiny 5 pound cat who was shaved a few weeks ago. She immediately caught cold and was under the weather. I won’t do this to her ever again. This nekked cat looks like a cartoon cat.

okay--------those three catts love littlebittymee, even though they look grumpy. i don't torment them with baths & haircuts , either. no sireee. but yeah---i am working working, working almost 7 days a week until my outdoor catt yard is built and secure. so yeah----i don't have much time to explain myself. thatt tiny burg up north in the middle o' nowhere, where hogs in factory farms outnumber the human residents of the state 10 to one, has a rule that forbids more than 3 catts per household! they hve toomany rules there, to compensate for the otherwise bizarre culture, there. but yeah----take a look at this menu. yum---doncha wanna drive-n-eat in iwah? yup. thankk mee.2024-04-06 (17).jpg2024-04-06 (17).jpg

okay----here's recent photo of the catt that was a littlebitty teeny-tiny skinny gray kitten living in my driveway/backyard for over a month, until she surrendered & I was able to catch her, several years ago. She's all grown up and kinda plump, now. plus--- spaded, although she'd be a great mommy and have nice kittys, like herself. but yeah---i call her mousey because she has a triangular face, like siamese, and is very agile, like a squirrel or a mouse. yup. thing is---she can get to the corners of a food can, and get the last bit. See? (see photo) hope that helps you kids some. enjoy the rest of your day. thankk mee. 2024-04-25 (6).jpg2024-04-25 (6).jpg2024-04-25 (6).jpg2024-04-25 (6).jpg2024-04-25 (6).jpg2024-04-25 (6).jpg2024-04-25 (6).jpg2024-04-25 (6).jpg

Bobby can you please limit your uploaded photos to one instance of each? Multiple instances of your daily photos un-necessarily takes up valuable server storage space.

okay----gosh, alan, i'm sure sorry! i was not even aware of that! how much should i donate to the forum fund, in order to pay for the extra space taken by littlebitty mee? so, anyway---while we're on the subject, i would suggest that we also limit our posts on the topics of partisan politics and alphabet people, as well. they seem to be taking up a LOT of space, with participants chasing their tails, so to speak. sure hope it would not be an incovenience to anyone. but yeah---thankk mee and enjoy the rest of your day!

The text load on our server storage is very low, but uploaded files such as photos take their toll over time. We were on the cusp of running out of space a few years ago and purchased additional storage to ensure that everyone could continue to share photos as they wished, and you are welcome to continue to do so. Feel free to post 8 pictures of your cat or 4 photos of a residence of ghoulish interest to you or 5 photos of someone arrested in your town, I'm simply asking you to make each of them unique and stop posting the same photo multiple times. It's wasteful.

TYVM, RR! I 'preciate it. okay----i know that you know and i know that i know and i know that many other people know that catts make VERY(x4444) good petts! but yeah----there are some people who don't know catts make good petts. yup. they usually have some sort of authoritarian personality, combined with a need for order & control & neatness. They need help. Hope that helps you kids some. thankk mee.
