Quilting is a very popular hobby so that is some sewing at least. We have two quilt shops in my tiny town.

in contrast, there are zero fabric shops in the entire city of St. Louis. You have to go out to the suburbs to find a JoAnn’s fabric store. Are there still Jackman’s? I haven’t seen one in a long time

Yes we have one quilt shop here. If I travel 16 miles there are a few more plus a JoAnns. I was just there yesterday. It is a shell of its past. Lots of cheap fabrics. For instance, you cannot find true gingham there. It is printed, not woven gingham.

Down in Vancouver & Portland across the river there used to be a good handful of good fabric shops, but they're all gone now.
My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!

I love fabriv stores. But I have purchased the last rounds of fabric for my home decor projects online.

i was in JoAnn’s a couple of weeks ago to buy cheap cotton and matching ribbon for my holiday table display. I found perfect fabric at $2 a yard.

    I agree.
