I think it's more reminiscent of the military parades we used to enjoy, well at least before the military became so unpopular during the Vietnam era. Other countries still routinely have them, France is well known for its annual Bastille Day military parade which its citizens seem to enjoy.Originally Posted by frugal-one
As far as costs are concerned, I'm not sure how to measure it. As a percentage of the Army's budget? As a percentage of the Federal Government's special event and ceremonies budget? Or perhaps a percentage of the numerous protests scheduled and heavily promoted for tomorrow?
