I had lobster rolls for the first time in Boston a few years ago. Sorry, I thought they were overrated. I suppose the hideously high price of a lobster roll in a Boston hotel sorta influenced my experience.
But I ordered one at another venue, a more simple place, and was still pricey and mediocre.
They are expensive, but a real treat if you can get them local. I understand your underwhelm. Eating lobster is almost a cultural thing that you grow up with if you are a New Englander.
