    I know that if I were exercising my duties as an elected official, and someone tried to interfere with my ability to do so, there would be consequences. Depending on the interference, potential quite swift consequences.

    Over the weekend, 407 HS codes were added to the list of HS codes subject to steel/aluminum duties. This even includes things such as perfume, which probably includes the bit of metal in the sprayer on the bottle. What this means in practice is that the supplier has to break out the steel/aluminum (and copper) content value from the non-steel/aluminum/copper value. Otherwise, the entire value of the product is hit with the 50% duty.
