Every fall for the last couple or few years I've gotten a covid booster a bit before the Holiday season crowds and people mixers. This year my doctor said it's a personal choice, but he is no longer advocating it. His reasoning is that of the cases he is aware of the symptoms are mostly cold like with the current strain circulating around. Also, people who have had covid and a few boosters already have a residual immunity to prevent serious infections. I'm undecided, as I usually get a reaction of a sore arm and some general malaise for a few days afterward. I usually plan for the shot when I don't have events on the calendar for a couple of days.
Interestingly, he did recommend the flu shot, which I always get with no problems and is not an issue with me.
