And the tulip fields got fertilized!
I have seen many shots of this area and the geese over the years, but kudos, Bae...those are some of the finest I've seen!

My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!
I made a tactical error. I had just washed and detailed my car that morning, and was having fun taking a nice drive through the Skagit on a truly lovely day.
I saw the birds whirling about in the sky off in the distance, 10s of thousands of them, so I wandered down the back roads towards where I suspected they might land to pillage the fields. I guessed right, had a wonderful time watching them, got lots of great photos.
Then, a few thousand of them took off, and flew directly over my spot. (I was some distance away, I was using a pretty serious telephoto lens). At first, it was delightful and amazing, the sounds of all the birds were quite loud and fun.
But you know what geese do shortly after takeoff, after they've been feeding? They "jettison ballast".
All over my shiny white car. I ducked under a bit of farm equipment to avoid getting bombarded myself.
Anyways, had to rewash the car. Blech.
